A Labor of Love

Every nursing moment should be cherished.

As a wife and a mother of three wonderful children, breastfeeding has been one of the most joyous experiences of my life. I’ve loved every moment of nursing my babies...except for the times when I had to breastfeed in public. I longed for the beauty and intimacy of those precious moments, but I struggled to find the closeness I craved given that traditional nursing covers and blankets did not work. I knew there had to be a way to make it feel more natural and tender, like the beautiful bond that nursing creates.

Determined to find a solution, I began designing an arm worn nursing cover that was open and allowed for an unobstructed view of my little one. When my second baby came along with a tongue tie, I realized even more how important it was to see my baby clearly while nursing—to look into his eyes, understand his needs, and guide him to latch properly. The blankets created barriers, both physically and emotionally.

While I set out to just make a cover, it evolved into something much more meaningful. After many prototypes, the result was a cover that not only provided coverage, and allowed me full sight of my baby, but it also brought my baby even closer during nursing sessions that increased the connection with my baby. I had no formal experience in product development, but I had a deep love for breastfeeding and an overwhelming desire to create something beautiful and functional. Snugghug was designed with every detail in mind, from those quiet moments of gazing into my baby's eyes, to the embrace that surrounds them with comfort.

For me, Snugghug is more than just a nursing cover. It’s an extension of those intimate moments, a gentle hug that gives you privacy while still allowing you to hold your baby close, to see every smile and every tender gaze. I use it all the time, not just when we’re out - but at home too, because of the way it holds my little one in a soft, comforting cocoon. Now, I’m beyond excited to share Snugghug with other mothers, hoping it brings you the same sense of beauty, closeness, and connection that it’s brought me during these precious moments.
